The Music Listening Project is being adjusted for next year. Check back later for the new requirements
DESCRIPTION
All students will participate in one Music Listening Project for the first 5 six weeks grading periods. The directors will play the music in class and the students will need to take notes on the Project Note page provided for them during class and the complete the project at home that night.
PURPOSE
Listening to music is an important part of music education. Students need to hear top quality performances in order to understand our goals for our band program and what we want our students to achieve.
HOW THE PROJECT WORKS
Listenings will occur on dates listed below and the projects will be due in two days. The project must be neatly hand written (no computer printouts). The Project Note pages are in the back of this Complete Method Book. The Project Note pages will give detailed information about what to listen for and what to write about. You will want to keep your note pages and papers, as there will be a Music Listening Identification section on the Final Exam at the end of the year.
